Welcome to GSA Connect – a project to support new and established Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) and similar groups that are working to make schools safer and more inclusive for all students. This a collaborative project led by Twenty10, NSW Teachers Federation, and Wear it Purple, supported by School Link: South West Sydney Local Health District and the Independent Education Union NSW/ACT Branch. Each organisation recognises the importance of creating safer spaces in schools for LGBTIQA+ young people and their allies. We’ve created some resources to support students and school staff to support students in building, shaping and activating your GSA. They’ve been written specifically for NSW schools but most of the content and ideas will be transferable to your school if you are in another state or territory.
